School District

The West Liberty school district consists of an Pre-K learning center, elementary, middle school, and brand new high school. The base enrollment is over 1220 students. The student-teacher ratio is 1/12.

West Liberty High School was recently ranked eighth best high school in Iowa in the US News Best High School 2013 rankings. The school system has what was the first dual-language program in the state. The program is voluntary with students taking all of their classes in both Spanish and English. These students become bilingual, biliterate and bicultural.
