West Liberty Community Members and Rural Neighbors,
Please do not travel today unless you absolutely must. Please have patience with our City crews as I have asked them to prioritize plowing and public works duties. City Hall is CLOSED today, Friday, January 12th all day. Garbage routes are subject to change today, and city streets may take longer to clear over the next few days.
Please be thoughtful with your travel, if you travel during the storm warning in place with the inclement weather you not only place yourself at risk, but you place others including the West Liberty Police Department & West Liberty Fire/EMS emergency team at risk trying to get to you.
Thank you to all the city staff for working together, I am proud of the team and supervisors! Mayor and Council thank you for your support of City staff. City Hall staff thank you for preparing and providing meals to the City Crew today to keep them going! Thank you, in advance, community members and rural neighbors, for being patient, staying home, and minimizing our emergency services to go out on calls.
