City of West Liberty Tornado Siren Monthly Testing:

The City of West Liberty will start the monthly severe weather siren testing. The tornado siren will be tested the first Monday of every month at 11:00 a.m. The siren is tested April through November, during the severe weather season. A reminder that if there is a chance of severe weather the day of testing the siren will not be activated.
Anytime Muscatine County Disaster Services issues a tornado warning for anywhere in Muscatine County, the siren will be activated in West Liberty. You are reminded to listen to radio and television weather information during the threat of severe weather, and take cover as necessary. In the event that the siren is activated for a tornado warning, an “all clear” signal will sound when the County Disaster Services has cleared the County of any further threat of severe weather.

Any questions about the siren testing or severe weather warnings may be directed to City Hall or the West Liberty Police Department.
